In an effort to raise awareness against drug abuse and foster youth engagement through creative expression, the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Jammu and Kashmir, has launched a Poster Making Competition for students aged 14 to 18 years. The initiative, which runs from May 20 to June 10, 2025, encourages participants to express their stance on drug abuse through compelling visual art.
Two Categories for Participation:
Digital Poster
Handmade Poster
Participants may submit entries in one or both categories. Digital posters must be submitted in high-resolution JPEG or PNG formats, while handmade entries must be scanned or photographed and submitted in image format. Originals may be requested if the entry is shortlisted.
Submission Guidelines and Entry Process:
Entries must reflect social relevance, creativity, and clarity of message.
Posters with political, offensive, or inappropriate content will be disqualified.
All entries must be original. Plagiarized or copied content will not be accepted.

Deadline:
All entries must be submitted no later than June 10, 2025.
Awards & Recognition:
Outstanding contributors will be felicitated during a formal award ceremony organized by DIPR J&K. Selected entries may also be featured on DIPR’s social media platforms, websites, exhibitions, and other publications, with due credit to the artists.
Important Note:
Any entry found to be plagiarized or incorrectly formatted will result in immediate disqualification. The decision of the DIPR and the judging panel will be final and binding.
Empowering Youth Through Creativity
With this initiative, DIPR J&K seeks to harness the creative energy of the youth and channel it toward meaningful social change. By engaging young voices in the fight against drug abuse, the competition aspires to cultivate a sense of responsibility, awareness, and proactive citizenship among the future leaders of Jammu and Kashmir.
